The hop-by-hop flow controller for high-speed networks: Single VC case

摘要：
in this paper, we propose a hop-by-hop controller for the flow regulation of the best-effort (ABR) traffic in high-speed networks. The local controller at each switch can regulate the transmission rate based on the knowledge of the buffer occupancy in the down-stream switch. Condition for stability a's derived and simulation in terms of buffer occupancy is carried out. It is shown that with this controller applied, the network is asymptotically stable without oscillation.
