摘要
Lighting is the major need of all the living being. Among various lighting scheme available, Street Lighting is of the important system that ensures the safety of any people travelling on road during night either by vehicle or walk, Hence, the major expenses of the city mainly include street lights. Also, the energy consumption is high in this case. The use of street lighting system can be reduced by automating the system and controlling the street lights ON and OFF. Through this work, a photo sensor is used to find the amount of sunlight falling on environment. According to the amount of sunlight, the street light is on or off. This improves the energy conservation process. The data sensed by the photo sensor is transmitted to the NodeMCU in which a LED and the Wi-Fi module is connected. The NodeMCU transfers the data to Wi-Fi module which has a cloud software in it. The cloud software receives and stores the data. With the help of the software developed, the status of the street light, power and energy consumption and on or off street lights could be known.
