The New Directions of EU Higher Education Reform at the Beginning of the 21st Century

At the beginning of the century, EU has published a series of policies in higher education. The main points of these policies are as follows : Clearly stating that European universities should be a world reference university; harmonizing the European higher education system through Bologna Process; modernizing universities for Europe's competitiveness; enhancement of quality in higher education. Those new directions of higher education reform framework of EU reflect that on one hand, the desire of the EU is to be a revival of world academic centre, on the other hand, as the deepen development of integration in economy of EU,tne needs in co-operation in higher education is becoming pressing.
