摘要
As assembly of the International Space Station (ISS) gets underway, we should consider the programs that have primed us to excel at ISS assembly, operations, and research. Most notably, the Spacelab program and the Shuttle-Mir program have provided us with invaluable international space research and operations experience that has largely prepared us to meet the challenges of the Station era.
