Several Different Forms of Stochastic Resonance in a Linear System Due to Dichotomous Noise Modulated by a Biased Signal

Stochastic resonance (SR) is studied in an over-damped linear system driven by multiplicative and additive dichotomous noise and signal-modulated noise, when the signal modulated noise is a linear combination of the multiplicative and additive noise. The exact expressions are obtained for the first two moments and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the output by using linear-response theory and the Shapiro-Loginov formula. Several different forms of SR are obtained. Conventional SR, SR in a broad sense, bona fide SR, and parameter-induced SR are found in the system. SR can be realized by tuning the bias of the external field and the noise proportion parameter b, which is new to SR phenomenon. Moreover, we found two resonance peaks, and both resonance and suppression appear in the parameter-induced SR.
