摘要
The predictive control is presented for a five-level neutral point clamped inverter using a three-phase coupled inductor. This topology produces the five-level output voltage with only 12 switches that in comparison with other five-level counterparts, it uses half. The predictive method uses the discrete model of the inverter and load to predict the future load current and capacitor voltages for all possible switching states. Then chooses the best switching state in each sampling period by minimizing a cost function. In fact, the switching state that generates the best reference current tracking and also the best DC link voltage balance, and produces the minimum value of the common mode voltage, will be selected. The controller obtains good reference tracking with less current harmonic distortion. Also, ensures fast dynamic response. The control method has been simulated in The MATLAB/SIMULINK. The feasibility of the predictive control is verified by showing a good performance.
