摘要
This paper consists of a compact size dual-band antenna for internet of things (IoT) applications. The antenna is resonating at two frequency bands i.e., 0.9 GHz and 2.45 GHz. The radiating patch consists of two poles one for the lower frequency band i.e., 0.9 GHz while the other short pole helps to operate at 2.45 GHz. The pattern of the antenna is directional in both frequency bands. The complete volume of the antenna is 30 x 10 x 1.6 mm(3). The antenna is fabricated on a low-cost FR-4 substrate having relative permittivity of 4.3, the loss tangent of 0.025 and the thickness of about 1.6mm. The antenna is simulated and fabricated and the results show that there is a good impedance matching at 0.9 GHz and 2.45 GHz. Hence, the proposed design is a perfect candidate to be utilized for IoT applications.
