摘要
The Universitat Jaume I (UJI) of Castellon has been teaching Information Systems studies, called Computer Engineering, from 2001. These studies were in the past a five years pre-Bologna curriculum and now they are developed under the Bologna approach. One of the objectives of these studies is that the students have ability to improve enterprise competitiveness using information systems (IS), what is called business process reengineering. Furthermore, two main capabilities have to be achieved by the students: management capabilities to understand enterprise business process and technological capabilities to understand the possibilities of the enterprise information systems applications to support enterprise business process. This is the aim of the information systems integration and management (SIM) course developed inside the UJI computer engineering degree. This paper shows the methodology and learning solutions used in the SIM course to teach the students how to develop a business process reengineering project to improve enterprise competitiveness and productivity. Paper shows the SIM course objectives, the target competencies, the course contents, the assessments, and how the technology resources are used to teach the subject.
