Efficiency evaluation of China's commercial bank based on super-efficiency model

摘要
(CR)-R-2 model of DEA can't identify further relative effective units. Super-efficiency models solve it by means of defining new production sets. The paper chose 4 major state-run commercial banks and 10 shareholding system commercial banks as research samples and made use of (CR)-R-2 model and super-efficiency models to evaluate the management efficiency from 2001 to 2003. The result indicates that super-efficiency models can really carry on full appraisal and sort. Chinese commercial banks' management efficiency is generally improved, but not high yet. Banks of Guangda, Minsheng, Zhaoshang, Pufa and Zhonghang are relatively better and others still remain to improve. Shareholding system commercial banks' efficiency is generally higher. than state-run commercial banks'.
