Comparative characteristics of different packed contact devices are determined. Computational data on the energy complex for estimating the energy-efficiency of irregular and regular heat and mass-transfer packing are presented. Calculation of the heat and mass-transfer coefficients is performed using the equations of a mathematical model for corresponding designs of regular and irregular types packing. Both empirical expressions and experimental data are used in calculating the hydraulic resistance. Comparative characteristics of mass-transfer columns with different types of packing are presented and more efficient designs of packing are created.
