摘要
In this paper, control of Electric vehicle (EV) is obtained by controlling the electric motor according to the load and speed profile. Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is preferred as the electric motor due to high efficiency and high power-density whereas, Field-oriented control (FOC) is used for testing the control performance of e-rickshaw as it provides an independent control of the magnetizing and torque-producing components. In this control, speed reference is provided according to the Indian drive cycle (IDC) and load profile is given based on the dynamic model of an EV. The complete closed loop system is simulated in MATLAB for various operating conditions. Further, regenerative braking of PMSM under FOC scheme is observed as reflected in the State of Charge (SOC) of the battery. In the generating mode, the switching sequence of the inverter gets modified to feed the energy back to the battery during the braking operation. The simulation results are presented for supporting the claim.
