Nobels honor research on ulcer microbe, "green" drug production method

摘要
The Nobel Prize of physiology was recently awarded to scientists that discovered the definitive cause of peptic ulcers in humans, the bacteria Helicobacter pylori. For years the scientists controversial hypothesis was not accepted until one of the researchers themselves ingested the bacteria and consequently developed a peptic ulcer. Also the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to scientists that utilized the novel chemical reaction of metathesis to produce more efficient and safe methods of producing new and existing plastic and metal compounds.
