摘要
The physiological response of bacteria of the genera Rhodococcus and Gordona to extreme values of some environmental factors (salinity, pH, temperature, and Lt-chlorophenol concentration) was studied. The preadaptation of an inoculum to extreme pH values of 5.0 and 9.5, elevated temperature (38 degrees C), increased concentrations of NaCl (50-60 g/l) and 4-chlorophenol (0.2 g/l) considerably shortened the lag phase and/or increased the maximum growth rate. Cross-adaptation to increased osmolarity of the medium and extreme pH values was revealed.
