Vector control of a doubly fed induction generator for stand-alone ship shaft generator systems

摘要
In this paper a vector control scheme of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for ship shaft generation systems is described. The paper deals mainly with ship shaft generator systems feeding an isolated load since for such systems the generated voltage must be regulated by the system itself and the control scheme is not trivial. A stator flux oriented vector control strategy of DFIG is used to achieve constant load voltage and frequency despite variations in both load and diesel engine speed. Experimental results are given to illustrate the excellent performance characteristics of the system.
