摘要
The surface layers formed on quenched and tempered 40HM (0.4C-Cr-Mo) steel by nitriding (chemical and phase composition being a result of base metal alloying) and by deposition of TiN (layer, totally different from core) produced the complex effect on corrosion and hydrogen action. The correlation between the rate of general and pitting corrosion, the hydrogen uptake and transport with the different stages of the stress corrosion cracking have been discussed.
