Clustering configurations in intermediate medium-mass systems

摘要
A preliminary study of the S-32+Cu-63 collisions at 5.6 A.MeV has evidenced the presence of three-body processes in the reaction. Peripheral collisions produce ternary events characterized by non equilibrium effects and by preferential decay of the system in alpha -like fragments. These phenomenological aspects suggest the formation of macroscopic quasi-molecular intermediate states which decay in three-body final states.
