Laparoscopic treatment of nonparasitic liver cysts

This report describes a case of a giant hepatic cyst occupying most of the right liver, with satellite cysts of lesser diameter, symptomatic for encystic hemorrhage and treated laparoscopically. "Unroofing" according to the technique of Lin was the treatment employed, and at three years after surgery no recurrence is evident, while hypertrophy of residual liver and appearance of new, smaller cysts are present.
