摘要
A review of very high speed electronic circuits for fully Electronic 40 Gbit/s Time Division Multiplexing (ETDM) system transmitter and receiver is presented. Critical circuits are MUX, driver, photoreceiver, DEC and DMUX. For those circuits, several technologies such as SiGe, GaAs and InP are in competition. But when high voltage drivers and high sensitivity photoreceivers are required, GaAs and moreover InP technologies appear as the best candidates.
