摘要
This pilot study seeks to identify the relationships between real energy consumption data and building design data and introduces a method to use real energy consumption data of a large hotel to calculate the extra energy use related to winter indoor thermal conditions, which roughly represents the space heating energy. This study not only presents and identifies relationships between the increasing or decreasing trend in space heating energy and the increase of building design data of the sample hotels, but also establishes the start point and feasibility for further study with a large number of sample hotels to identify, in more detail, the quantitative relationships between building design data and space heating energy data for further developing passive design guides for hotel energy efficiency.
