摘要
The development of the society of the communication and the knowledge suppose the creation of new tools and the incorporation of those tools at the world of the education. This implies new possibilities in the process of teaching-learning. The purpose of this work is to present quantitative results about the level of knowledge and use of social networks and web services by undergraduate students in the University of Granada. It has been also examined how university teachers integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into classroom practice. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire administered to third course students of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering degrees during the year 2014-2015. The results showed that Facebook and Twitter are the most frequently used social network by students in the mentioned degrees. These are followed by other social networks and web applications like messenger. On the other hand, virtual learning environments commonly used in the teaching-learning process by the students and university teachers are SWAD and Moodle, among others. Besides, it is important to highlight that Power Point is the most employed tool for presentations by means of students. Other tools like Prezi are use in a much less extension with this purpose. Finally, we can state that the use of ICT is continuously increasing the teaching-learning processes.
