摘要：
The United States National Weather Service (NWS) implemented the Olympic Weather Support System (OWSS) to meet the weather forecast and warning needs of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. This paper describes the implementation of the local forecast component of that system, the SMS-RAMS parallel model, comprising the FSL developed Scalable Modeling System and the Colorado State University developed Regional Atmospheric Modeling System.
