摘要
The decay out of superdeformed states through EO electric monopole transition is investigated for even-even nuclei in the A = 190 mass region. Transition rates are evaluated within the generator coordinate method based on Hartree-Fock plus BCS wave functions. For light isotopes of mercury and lead, EO transitions appear to be strongly enhanced due to large monopole transition matrix elements. [S0556-2813(98)01610-0].
