AN EPISTOLARY DIALOGUE BETWEEN EAST AND WEST: CIORAN-NOICA, 1957

The article aims at analyzing two expisotlary 1957 texts pertainig to two friends, i.e. Cioran and Noica, in the perspective expressed by the title as East-West dialogue through the Iron Curtain, but also as exile songs as each of them affirms and dislikes his exile : Cioran is autoexiled in a cultural paradise (France) and Noica is exiled in his own house, in his country where he finds himself alone and entrapped by a monstre. Is is about the communist realities which existed and evolved towards stalinism under the guidance of Gheorghiu Dej.
