摘要
In the tunnel engineenng, a great amount of carbon dioxide is produced in cement and steel production, transportation and structure construction, or caused by unrestricted deforestation for route plans. The reduction of carbon emission to alleviate the green house effect is now a world concerned problem which also perplexes further development of tunnel construction and is supposed to be solved. For this purpose, a quantitative evaluation method for comprehensive benefits and costs of the demonstration project of underground space are introduced in this paper. The method is applied to a highway tunnel in Anhui Province of China and the results show the proposed method providing a clear index of carbon consumption. In this engineering case, the various kinds of tunnel portal greening-design that are based on the concern of low-carbon effect will be introduced to demonstrate the achievement of ecology conservation. Tunnel portal greening-design is aimed at the ecologic concerns and scenic effects, generally, both of which cannot be described in a distinct route. The low carbon effect of virescence of tunnel portal will be estimated clearly in a quantifiable index in this paper. It will be beneficial to improve the scientific usage of the greening concepts on the tunnels in a much wider scope. Therefore relevant countenneastires and suggestions can be inspired in various tunnel portal greening-designs. Compared with general optimization of engineering economy, tunnel portal greening-design can accelerate the upgrading of low-carbon engineering effectively and achieve the sustainable development of the society. Finally, the importance of low-carbon effect in tunnel engmeenng will be emphasized according to analysis results.
