摘要
Net-Gen students in all fields are completely comfortable with graph-based information structures, rapid point-and-click surfing, multitasking, and high-intensity interactive gaming. However, they are less able to handle the logical thinking required for slowly puzzling through a page of math or biochemistry. Thus, tools to help Net-Gen students gain the cognitive skills they need within a framework they can work with should be developed. Good educational games, while not the only possible resources, can use the power of simulation and visualization to explain complex phenomena. These approaches can attract and hold attention long enough to stimulate the pursuit of the less familiar, more taxing activities involved in deep learning and mature analytical skills.
