摘要：
This paper describes the importance of sugar cane for agricultural production in the Republic of Nicaragua. The text describes the history of sugar cane cultivation and its importance for the Nicaraguan economy. The Republic of Nicaragua is one of the worlds smaller sugar cane producers, but exports a large part of its sugar production. The text introduces historical milestones and contexts of sugar cane cultivation in the Republic of Nicaragua and captures trends that affect sugar trade in the world markets. In its conclusion, the article mentions the discussion regarding chronic kidney disease among employees on sugarcane plantations.
