摘要
Microelectronic devices need efficient protection against various electrical overvoltages. For threshold voltage higher than 600V, close protection of the components with screen-printed varistors is proposed, though their porous microstructure seems unfavourable for this purpose. A mechanical pressure has been applied on ZnO thick films prior firing in order to improve the layer compacity. Electrical characteristics of conventional and pressed thick-films have been compared to those of the ceramic prepared with the same powder.
