The regulation and governance of digital platforms: a systematic literature review

This article presents a systematic literature review to investigate the state of the art of national research on the regulation and governance of digital platforms. In total, 281 articles were obtained from the search in scientific indexing bases. Of these, 23 present in peer-reviewed Brazilian journals were considered relevant for the purpose of the study. Their analysis reveals the historical evolution of the discussion, the methods used, the distribution between different areas of knowledge and the main trends, challenges and gaps both in the regulatory frameworks studied and in the research on the subject itself.
