摘要
An investigation of static coefficient of friction (COF) for lubricated and unlubricated conditions for the case of the micro fiber fabrics as well as young and mature pistia leaves is discussed in this study. Two different types of oils namely palm oil and VG 68 hydraulic oil were tested on the micro fiber fabrics and pistia of young and mature leaves. The morphological structures of the samples were observed using variable pressure scanning electron microscope (VP-SEM). Meanwhile, the static COF was examined by using aluminum surface of a horizontal inclined plane with the samples. The static COF was calculated by using an Equation 1. It was found that pistia leaves have lower COF values than micro fiber fabrics and can mimicked to artificial technologies.
