Technique tip: reconstruction of an acute anterior tibial tendon rupture with a gracilis tendon autograft

Degenerative rupture of the anterior tibial tendon is an uncommon injury, and the diagnosis is often overlooked leading to a delay in treatment. Even if treated acutely, surgical reconstruction can prove challenging because of the compromised quality of the tendinous insertion. The authors present their preferred operative technique for the reconstruction of this disorder.
