An integral equation approach to radiative transfer in cylindrical media

摘要
A known transformation associated to the integral form of the radiative transfer equation along with a modem analytical version of the discrete ordinates method are used to derive expressions for the radiation intensity and net radiative heat flux in a homogeneous cylindrical media. The solution for the conservative case is developed. The basic steps for implementing the complete solution are followed and numerical results are presented to show that the approach is straightforward, easy to implement and accurate.
