摘要
At present Polish power engineering sector faces a huge challenge. It must satisfy the increasing fast demand, whereas most of the assets for centralized production of heat and electric energy requires urgent modernization. At the same time new global and EU law regulations are introduced. These are aimed at the reduction of changes introduced to environment and securing energy supplies. This huge challenge creates a unique chance to create new balanced power engineering sector for posterity. When developing concepts for the development of power engineering sector attention has to be paid to complimentarily of development strategies, which should take into account primary energy savings, development of Renewable Energy Sources and co-generative sources, promotion of nuclear energy and clean coal combustion technology with carbon-dioxide escapement and sequestration techniques. In the paper attention is paid to the issues, which will surely appear in the Polish power engineering.
