摘要
As smart phones play a more and more important role in modem society, they have been an essential part of our daily life. With the rapid and widespread growth of information technology, numerous smart phones are available for users to choose and use. Selecting a suitable smart phone answering many purposes does matter. At first, the evaluation index system should be constructed by the most desirable features that influence the selection result. Secondly, based on catastrophe theory and fuzzy mathematics, a fuzzy catastrophe process method of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is proposed to evaluate and select the most suitable smart phone for users. Without the determination of index weights, the proposed method can obtain more reasonable results by avoiding the subjective judgment. The actual experiment shows that the proposed fuzzy catastrophe progress method is feasible and its operation is quite simple for decision makers in practice.
