摘要
Illumination systems are an important factor for every aspect of daily life. Lighting represents approximately one-third of electricity use in commercial buildings. As a result, there is significant interest in reducing lighting energy use through more efficient lighting systems, including controls. As a result of the change in illumination systems, Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting system has been widely used instead of traditional illumination system. With the rigid growth of technology in semiconductor, it is believed that using LED as a lighting device will be one of the new trends in the coming years. Advanced lighting control strategies have the potential to achieve even greater energy savings and offer many advantages over simple controls. In this paper, a centralized wireless sensor network control is proposed, which can be used to reduce the energy consumption in an office workspace. By this method, the aim is to meet the dual goals of user satisfaction and minimization of energy consumption. This system has an additional advantage of working on a dc source, if the primary ac source is interrupted, as in the case of power outage. A sensor node consists of an LDR sensor and MSP430F5438 microcontroller; a ZIGBEE wireless network is used for wireless communication between the sensor nodes and central controller.
