Effect of oxytocin, PGF2α, Nifedipine and Diltiazem on uterine contraction of hypothyroid rats

摘要：
Considering the evidences that hypothyroidism enhanced the responsiveness to Oxytocin (Medeiros and Calxito, 1989) and hypothyroidism caused a decrease in function of L-type calcium channels (Parija et al., 2001) in non-pregnant and pregnant (Parija et al., 2006) rat uterus, the present study has been designed to investigate the effect of hypothyroidism on the potency of dihydropyridines to relax the tonus induced by higher concentration of oxytocin and PGF(2 alpha) in non-pregnant uterine smooth muscles.
