Cooperative infrastructure relay system and its capacity analysis

摘要
An infrastructure relay system which transfers information from a base station (BS) to mobile stations (MSs) using fixed location relay stations (RSs) is studied. Analytical results for a generalized relay transmission configuration are provided considering the utilization of RSs as a mean to extend the dimensionality of multiple input multiple output (MIMO). Based on this, the effect of various aspects of infrastructure relay system such as the number of RSs, the deployment of RSs, and the number of hops on the outage capacity are studied.
