A Novel Load Flow Algorithm for Islanded Microgrid Considering the Regionalization Approach

摘要
In this paper, a novel load flow algorithm has been proposed for a regionalized microgrid at islanded mode. In regionalized microgrid, the radial distribution system has been divided into two types of regions. One region is based on dominant conventional generation and other is based on dominant renewable generation. Conventional generation dominant regions (CGRs) will operate on droop control based methodology. Renewable generation dominant regions (RGRs) will adopt the constant frequency based control method. The proposed regionalized microgrid load flow has been solved for both types of regions. For CGR, islanded droop-controlled based load flow algorithm has been carried out. For RGRs, a new load flow methodology has been proposed considering the constant frequency and incorporation of renewable DGs. The load flow has been formulated while considering the unknown variables of the system including further the absence of a slack bus. The proposed load flow method has been applied to the IEEE 15 and 33-bus distribution systems.
