Investigation of the phase and polarization distortions of high-power laser radiation passing through the optics of the wide-aperture spatial filter

摘要
The mechanical stresses in the lens material originated from the atmospheric pressure effect produce additional phase distortions of the light wave and the outflow of a part of the light energy to the orthogonal polarization through the stress-optical effect mechanism. We used the two-step algorithm to estimate the influence of lens mechanical strains on the linear polarized beam The first step of this algorithm is the stress analysis of the lens, the second - optical calculations using the strain field obtained on the first step. The obtained results show that in case of the lens tight fixing the phase and polarization distortions lie within acceptable limits.
