Thermal treatment of mixtures of feathers with the meat-bone meal

摘要：
The elemental compn. of ashes formed in the thermal decompn. of mixts. of feather (F) with the meat-bone meal (MBM) at mass ratios of F:MBM 10:1, 2:1 and 1:1 vs. temp. (600-900 degrees C) and time of heat treatment (1-3 h) were detd. by spectrophotometry and emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma. The ashes contained significant amts. of P, Ca, K and Mg and were recommended as additives to enrich the compn. of fertilizers.
