摘要
This paper aims to investigate the probability of local bond failure of positive moment steels of continuous reinforced concrete beams. The probability of local bond failure is determined by the Monte Carlo technique, The random variables considered in this study are the strength of concrete, the strength of steels, the cross-section dimensions, the concrete cover for steels, the model uncertainty of bond-strength and the loading. The results show that increasing the parameter of transverse steels, the parameter of concrete cover for steels, and the f(c)' values, the probability of local bond failure is reduced. The probability of local bond failure is below 0.00135 for most of the beams designed according to the ACI Code.
