Simulation of two-dimensional nonrandom fibre networks: Aggregated congruent rectangles

摘要
This paper is the fourth in a series on areal coverage distribution (ACD), and contains results from the two-dimensional models of flocculated paper. The congruent rectangles are used to model wood pulp fibres. The rectangles are deposited on a planar surface. The effects of rectangle aggregation on the total (point) variance of ACD are determined. The total variance is related ambiguously to the aggregation states of rectangles; its range extends above and below the total variance for the random model of paper. The aggregate sizes and the modes of deposition affect the magnitude of variance, but the relationships are not unique.
