摘要
At the faculty of Public Security of Mykolas Romeris University in studies program for bachelor's of law and police activities and of state border guard it is studied informatics and information technologies discipline, in which biometric technologies and systems for definition of the person, and also an opportunity of their application are considered. Presentment background information of biometrics, such as the technologies used, concerns, defense, distance learning, security, and efficiency. Structural elements of biometric systems and the general attributes classification these systems are considered. Procedure of a choice of a rational variant of biometrics system is analyzed. The factors influencing the given choice are considered: the purposes of the use of the system, the size of a stream of users, the cost of system, etc. The method of rating of efficiency of biometrics system is offered.
