摘要：
The nonlinear hysteretic behavior of a 7-story RC building in Van Nuys, San Fernando Valley, during the 1994 Northridge, California, earthquake is investigated. Both equivalent linear and nonlinear identification methods are used. Using a shear-beam-type planar model, the parameters of the fundamental mode are inferred as functions of time, the onset of damage to the structure and stiffness degradation of the structure are detected.
