A Robust Control Algorithm Based on Polytope Uncertainty

摘要
Polytope uncertainty is suitable for time varying uncertainty analysis in power systems. The addition of uncertain factor increases the robustness of close-loop system. Firstly, wide area information measured by PMUs is used as controller input to control the power transferred by HVDC. Then, an extended LMI approach is used in the controller's design considering the uncertainty. In the paper the state feedback control and design the controller are chosen based on reduced system. The 2-area 4-machine system is studied to validate the adaptability of the controller. Different types of fault and operating conditions is considered and the simulation result shows that the controller with uncertainty can deal with these situations well.
