A Hybrid Fractal Antenna for Wideband Applications

摘要
A microstrip line fed hybrid fractal planar antenna is proposed. The proposed structure is designed on an FR4 substrate (epsilon(r) = 4.4) with dimension 55 mm x 36 mm x 1.6 mm. The proposed antenna is designed using a plus-shaped square patch and Hilbert curve geometry combined together and its characteristics are investigated. It has a frequency range from 1.70 GHz-4.18 GHz which finds its applications in DCS1800 (1.71 GHz-1.88 GHz), PCS-1800 (1.85 GHz-1.99 GHz), WiBro (2.3 GHz-2.4 GHz), Bluetooth (2.4 GHz), NATO E-band (2 GHz-3 GHz) and various wideband applications. The simulated impedance bandwidth and radiation efficiency are found to be 102.02% and 94.7%.
