摘要
This study is a part of the series of experiments related to the investigations of the electric field (EF) effect on the fuel combustion, flame shape, temperature and composition fields for different types of the flame flows. The objective of this study is to explore the electric field effect on the enclosed non-premixed swirling flame combustion and formation of the greenhouse gas emissions (NOx, CO2), using a burner with the axial fuel (propane) supply that is surrounded by the air swirl. The detailed inflame measurements of the flame composition and temperature fields are performed for the conditions of the active electrical field control of the swirl-induced combustion staging in a wide range of the fuel and air supply. The effect of the field-enhanced soot formation on the reduction of the levels of greenhouse emissions from fuel combustion is observed and parametrically optimized.
