A study of dispersion management method for RZ pulse nonlinear transmission

摘要
It is well known that the dispersion management technique is very effective for nonlinear long-haul transmission systems using Return-tc-Zero (RZ)-Gaussian pulses, because it have some advantages compared with the uniform dispersion system such as timing jitter reduction. In this paper, some dispersion management methods using Standard single mode fibers (SMF's) and Non-Zero dispersion shifted fibers (NZDSF's) are compared by computer simulation. As the results, it is verified that the configuration that SMF is divided into two parts in management span is effective for not only the timing jitter reduction but also the stable propagation of pulses.
