摘要
We perform a Monte Carlo simulation of a phantom and a gamma camera system to show the effects of attenuation and scattered radiation within the phantom in the acquisition of a renogram in a nuclear medicine renal study. The Monte Carlo simulation shows that 21% of the primary radiation is absorbed within the phantom, and 20% of the detected photons correspond to scattered radiation. This simulation will allow in future studies to test correction techniques for accurate quantification of renal planar images in nuclear medicine.
