摘要
Recently a new type of discharge Sources of infrared radiation (IR) has emerged. These are lamps with sapphire envelopes, in which discharge plasma is produced in a mixture of mercury and cesium vapors and an inert gas (xenon, krypton). Expeditious development of this type of radiation sources had to (to with the development of aircraft defense systems of actively counteracting self-tracking missiles [1]. This type of sources can generate a necessary level of radiation intensity in a given spectral region at a given duration, frequency of pulses, and modulation depth. Advertising information oil these radiation sources are widely published; however, literature oil physics of processes in plasma and on spectral, thermal, and energy characteristics is quite scarce. Spectral and time dependent characteristics or IR discharge Sources are nonlinear functions of numerous parameters, which result in significant difficulties during development of devices and interpretation of experimental data. Therefore extremely important is the task of developing programs for computer modeling of the interrelated complex of thermal processes in discharge and radiating lamp envelopes heated up to a high temperature. Our paper is discussing this problem.
