摘要
The journal Tissue Engineering (TE) was launched in 1994, and the journal has evidenced the great progress in the field of TE and regenerative medicine by great number of publications, which reflect the best achievements of the field worldwide in the past 25 years. Previously, review articles introducing the status of TE research in China were also published in this journal 15 years ago. Since then, this field research in China has been evolved from proof-of-concept study to the translation of clinical therapy and product development. In this article, the authors provide a brief overview of the current status of translational researches of TE/regenerative medicine in China. Impact Statement The presented translational research work represents the important progress and evolution of tissue engineering (TE) researches in China from proof-of-concept to actual application of TE technology for health management and biotechnology development in the past 15 years. It has been made with national governmental support of "863" project grant, which gathers multidisciplinary people in China to work together towards the translation of basic/applied research achievements into clinical reality and the fulfillment of unmet medical needs. It also truly reflects the global trend of fast development in this field from China's perspective.
